Bethlehem Center

The “Bethlehem” Charitable and Educational Center, to be built on Giorgi Antsukhelidze Street in Batumi, was initiated by His Eminence Metropolitan Dimitri of Batumi and Lazeti with the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Ilia II and His Holiness Patriarch Shio III.

A social and educational center that serves people of different generations and diverse needs under one integrated environment. Total area: 11,500 sq m.

It brings together a 24-hour shelter for the elderly and persons with disabilities for up to 150 beneficiaries, a day center for the elderly for up to 100 beneficiaries, and an early childhood education center for 150 children, including an inclusive education group.

Metropolitan Dimitri blessed the foundation stone. The elderly care shelter will be fully financed and constructed by Gumbati.
